This week was the official ribbon cutting ceremony for Central Lofts in Evansville! The past year has seen many challenges arise, but the dedicated teams have kept things on track and now Central Lofts is leasing up, providing a much-needed service to the area.
Jon Anderson of AP Development, owner, developer & visionary of the project, opened the ceremony, followed by remarks from Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winnecke, IHCDA Director of Real Estate Allocation Alan Rakowski, and Southwest Indiana YMCA CEO Johnathan Pope. Work from Ben Girton and Skyler Reis was highlighted from the past year and property manager LeeAnn Rickards was praised the work she has done on the lease up.
It was the foresight of Jon Anderson and AP Development that saw the potential for former YMCA building, a long-vacant space that was waiting for the right vision. The efforts represent and larger goal of developing the downtown area. Located in the heart of downtown Evansville, Central Lofts is around the corner from the Ascension/St Vincent YMCA and houses 62 affordable units. AP Development partnered with Crestline Construction for the refurbishment process and Crestline Communities will manage the property.
After the ribbon was cut, attendees were able to explore the newly renovated Central Lofts and check out some of the unoccupied units. Units are currently leasing, and residents have already started to move-in. For more information about Central Lofts visit the website CentralLofts.ThinkCrestline.com
